Community-Based, Informal, Warm, and Welcoming Worship and Discussion in Asheville, NC

The Community on Haywood in Asheville, North Carolina, provides you with the opportunity to get to know one another better and to connect with friends during fellowship meals.

Community Supper

There is a fellowship supper at 5:30 p.m., before each worship service, on the second and fourth Wednesdays. You’re not required to go to worship if you attend the supper or vice versa—it is open to the public. This supper features good fellowship and conversation. The food provided is very different each time, ranging from soup and sandwiches to full lasagna meals. There is no charge for the meal, however donations are accepted.The meal is in the Dining room in the basement of the West Asheville Presbyterian Church, 690 Haywood Rd.

  • Bible and Brew: Casual conversation, good fellowship, live. A meal and beverage of choice at The Barleycorm on Haywood Road. Open to the public. 5:30 on the 1st and 3rd Wednesdays.

God’s Cafe

This group meets every Tuesday from 11:30 a.m. to 1:00 pm. Come as you can, and leave when you need to! God’s Cafe provides catered sandwiches, dessert, and drinks. During that time, there will be open discussions of the Bible books of James, 1,2,3 John, 1,2 Peter and Jude. You do not need to know the Bible to participate. A suggested donation of $5 is requested for the food. Most Tuesdays God’s Cafe meets in the Dining room of the West Asheville Presbyterian Church. There will be signs with dierections on the outside doors of the church.
